Troy University celebrated their homecoming on November 9, 2019! All campuses and organizations joined in on the celebrations throughout the week.
"Trojans One and All" was the theme homecoming focused around, and the week certainly embodied that trojan spirit!
On the Troy campus, celebrations began on Monday with "Troy's Got Talent," a talent competition open to anyone who wanted to showcase their special skills.
On Tuesday, the women's basketball team had their season opener at Trojan Arena. They won over Fort Valley State 101-52, and had a record breaking crowd attendance!
After the basketball game, students could enjoy a bonfire hosted by the Student Government Association.
For the majority of the day on Tuesday and Wednesday, students were able to donate blood with American Red Cross.
Along with the blood drive, Palladium pictures were being taken in the Trojan Center from 9:00 to 5:00. Palladium photos serve as a great way to remember not only the fun during homecoming week, but students' time at Troy University as a whole!
Thursday brought cultures together. The International Food Fair took place in the Trojan Dining Hall, and students were able to taste more good food at the tailgate event on Thursday night.
Different organizations showcased their best cooking skills for judging, and after getting something yummy to eat students were back in the Trojan Arena for the men's basketball opener.
The trojans fell to University of Alabama Birmingham 75-73 in a close game with lots of excitement.
Halftime of the game was the homecoming pep rally. Organizations competed to see who could have the most pep and spirit to win the "spirit stick," a trojan sword.

Students also supported Troy University's volleyball team in their last game of the season against University of South Alabama on Friday night, though they also suffered a loss.
A win came on Saturday though!
Troy beat Georgia Southern, the College of Education got to welcome alumni with a tailgate party on Hawkins Lawn, and the COE nominee for homecoming queen, Savannah Maddox, was crowned at halftime of the game.
Previous Sound of the South drum majors were also honored during halftime of the game, enjoyed good food and lots of fun before at the tailgate, and the Sound of the South stopped by the tailgate to perform for the past drum majors!
